PROJECT: Building an internet radio boombox

PI's: Albert Ryan and Nick

PROBLEM:
Build an internet radio boombox with

    (i) battery power
    (ii) Wireless audio stream reciever
(iii) (a lot) cheaper than Apple iPod HiFi
    (iv) comes in 'black'

PARTS:

Boombox (with Aux in for wireless audio, FM radio, mp3 disk player) $80
    WiFi auidio streamer: $65
9V recharable battery (for WiFi reciever, lasts about 25 hours) : $50

    Total:  $195

(Apple cost: 350 for HiFi, 125 for WiFi, Total $475 with no radio)

STEP 1:

Put together a web page with direct links to your favorite radio stations:

webradio

Step 2:

Hook up 2.4 Ghz streaming audio (Startech Mp3 Airstream, uses FSK).
